It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
The email.utils module offers the utility methods for the email server, such as formatting the to and from addresses. The smtplib module lets us create a mail server, while smtpd lets us create an email client daemon. The asyncore module offers a basic infrastructure to write asynchronous clients and servers.
