Since optimization problems on the D-Wave annealer use a different method than gate-based quantum computers, this section shows the nuances of each method. We will review how quantum annealing finds the optimal solution and develops the hybrid algorithm for gate-based quantum computers that is used for optimization. You will see how a problem can be structured to be submitted to both the annealer and to a gate-based quantum computer.
