So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What’s Unique in This Book?
If you’re new to quantum computing, you’ll find that the material in this book is quite different from what you’ll see in others. In fact, it’s only in Chapter 6, Designer Genes—Custom Quantum States, that you’ll begin to see parallels with the literature.
If you’re already familiar with quantum computing, you’ll find a new, and hopefully more intuitive, take on standard concepts. In my mind, the following sections, in particular, stand out most:
- Modeling Quantum Bits with the Qubelets Model:

Describes a way to think about quantum states as components similar to, say, analyzing a block on an inclined plane in classical physics. Specifically, we introduce the qubelets to model quantum states.
