Creating a Pleasing Composition
From an artistic perspective, “composition” refers to the placement or arrangement of objects to convey a theme, message, or mood. There are various factors to consider when creating a still-life composition or choosing a still-life photograph to work from.
In my earlier days of working with colored pencils, I frequented antique shops and specialty stores to find just the right china, glassware, patterned scarf, and flowers to create a beautiful still-life setup.
