Appendix C. Using the CD-ROM

The CD-ROM that accompanies this book contains all the authors' source code and examples from the book, as well as many third-party software products.

Windows 95/NT 4 Installation Instructions

  1. Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.

  2. From the Windows 95/NT desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.

  3. Double-click the icon representing your CD-ROM drive.

  4. Double-click the SETUP.EXE icon to run the installation program.

  5. The installation program creates a program group with the book's name as the group name. This group contains icons to browse the CD-ROM.

If Windows 95 is installed on your computer and you have the AutoPlay feature enabled, the SETUP.EXE program starts automatically when you insert the CD into your CD-ROM ...
