Lesson 8. Matt Kloskowski, Nassau, Bahamas

This is a shot of my buddy Matt taken down in Nassau, Bahamas. The background is the rusty hull of an old boat, but the vibrant color of the hull was totally lost thanks to poor exposure, a bad white balance setting, and a few other in-camera mistakes, which you’ll fix surprisingly easily using the System. Then you’ll use a couple of simple Photoshop “finishing effects” to top things off. Also, we’ll really make use of Camera Raw’s Clarity and Sharpening controls, along with Photoshop’s Unsharp Mask filter, to make this image really crisp and clear.
