It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

We created a simple SQS queue and sent the message from within a Lambda. You can work on adding more features to the create queue code. Properties available for an SQS queue were listed in the previous recipe. We sent only a single message in this recipe, but you can also send multiple SQS messages together, as we will see in the next recipe.
