I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Every time I write another book, there inevitably comes a time when I’m doing too much, and I morph into a hostile curmudgeon, a scrooge who snipes at the first target that presents itself, even if that target is just announcing that dinner is ready. Writing technical books is not as lucrative as it used to be, even successful books. Those who write do it out of love, and often at a cost to those around them.
