The introduction of previous cellular generations (2G to 4G) was marked by advances in link spectral efficiency (coding, MIMO) and user multiplexing (CDMA, OFDMA, SDMA). The 5G wireless network is expected to efficiently exploit new technologies, infrastructures and user devices, providing a transparent massive connectivity framework [1].
