I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
1Choosing a Subject
There are only ever two real reasons for anything we do: to learn or to have fun. If you can have fun learning or learn from the fun things you do then that’s even better. Everything we choose to do, I believe fits one or both of these categories. Think about it for a moment: you’re reading this book because you want to learn about time-lapse photography; you want to create time-lapse movies because, for you, it’s fun. And I’ve written this book in such a way that (hopefully) you get enjoyment learning from it. So what makes a good time-lapse subject is anything that teaches us about the world in which we live or enables us to have fun at its expense.
