Time-lapse photography can be performed with minimal equipment, none of which needs to be exorbitantly expensive. At the same time, additional gear, some of it costly, can be used to offer different visual opportunities. Either way, it’s important to remember: cameras and all the accessories we add on to them are just tools designed to do a job. So, when choosing a camera, for example, what’s important is not whether it’s Nikon or Canon, or that camera A has x-million more pixels than camera B, but whether it’s up to the job in hand.
