It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

However, to become a competent VB programmer, you need to understand some terms and ideas that are central to the VB language. Designing the visual parts of your program is a fairly intuitive process. However, there are some subtleties to the terminology and syntax that every VB programmer needs to know. By understanding these foundation concepts, you will be able to more quickly master advanced topics.
