Configuring task server

As you enter the Configuration | Settings | General page, you may see an error message that says Cannot communicate with task server, please check your settings. You can ignore this for now, as that's exactly what we're going to do next. The task server is a a Java Virtual Machine that DB Connect runs in the background and uses for its polling and other operations. If the $JAVA_HOME environment setting is properly set, DB Connect will usually be able to detect that the path exists and populate the JRE Installation Path accordingly; if not, you'll have to manually enter it.
