CAPTURING VALUE
This chapter opens the tactical design phase. Tactical design and feature configuration rarely follow context analysis (Chapters 8–10) in a one-off waterfall process. Instead, strategic and tactical design alternate in an iterative cycle until you find a formula that works (Chapter 7). In the three previous chapters we analyzed the context—in Circle 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Now it is time to discuss how to configure the features of your solution (Figure 11.1): its managerial features (in this chapter), as well as its structural and content features (the following four chapters).
