I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
SCSI technology is fundamental to storage networking. While the physical SCSI bus is not commonly used to transport data in SANs, it is still used in NAS systems and server systems for local storage. More importantly, the logic of SCSI can be thought of as the storage application in SANs.
This chapter discussed the logical structures of SCSI, describing the key elements that are involved, including initiators, targets, logical units, LUNs, device servers, and task managers.
