Yellow Pepper

image

WILL PHOTOGRAPHERS STOP at nothing to get the shot? Joshua Steinke cut open this defenseless pepper in order to light it from the inside with flash shot through a snoot made from tinfoil. Another flash shot through a snoot made from a breakfast cereal box lights the stem from the outside left. Illuminating it from the inside, the pepper acts as its own gobo, keeping the light from polluting the shadowy creases above and creating a wonderfully three-dimensional image.
