1.1 Introduction

Many optimization problems in the fields of science and engineering are extremely complicated and difficult, necessitating novel problem-solving approaches. Conventional methods, which are highly sophisticated and specialized, tend to use problem-specific data like objective gradients to direct the search for optimum solution.
