So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Using the pipe from the command line
To use the pipe from the command line scripts:
1. Modify the following parameters:
a. Open the IBMExtract.properties file in an editor of your choice and change
the value of usepipe from false to true.
b. From the output directory, open the unload script in an editor and set
GELDDL to false, UNLOAD to true and OBJECTS to false.
2. Run the unload command from the command line. The output from the unload
command is the same as the output from the GUI.
Limitation on the use of pipe
You cannot use pipe if a table has large objects, such as BLOB/CLOB. Separate
