Systemic evaluation provides a lens through which you, as a public manager, can see the social system in its entirety. As a practice, evaluating the system ensures the health and viability of the organization as a whole. Included in the word “evaluation” is the root word “value.” As a public manager, you have the opportunity to communicate that employees are valued and bring value to the system of which they are a part.
