I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introduction
Like a steady drumbeat, every year there’s an update to Apple’s array of operating systems, including iOS and iPadOS. Some years, the changes are minor and cosmetic, though there is often a unifying theme. In others, like the rollout in 2024 of Apple Intelligence, the changes are major and pervasive, even though Apple Intelligence didn’t turn out to be as powerful an introduction as the company wanted.
In 2025, the theme is Liquid Glass, a new interface design approach. In addition to syncing the numbering of all their operating systems to the year—like iOS 26 and iPadOS 26—Apple also unified the user interface for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS to use the same look, feel, and interactions.
