When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Everyone loves to talk about the hot-button issues, which in the United States at the moment include immigration, wealth inequality, gun rights, police brutality, terrorism, and healthcare reform. Sounding off on these questions may seem like fun at first, but in the end it is frustrating and demoralizing, because we just talk past each other and resolve nothing. It is much more useful to start with everyday dilemmas and build our ethical reasoning skills gradually. Going straight to the big issues is like going straight from 2 + 2 = 4 to integral calculus. Besides, the everyday issues are the ones we deal with every day.
I am going to take us through some seemingly humdrum dilemmas that will help hone our ethical skills. ...
