It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

TCP/IP's core protocols operate at layers 3 and 4 of the OSI model, corresponding to the Internet layer and host-to-host transport layer of the TCP/IP architectural model (introduced in Chapter 8).
