It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

What You’ll Learn
In this tutorial you will learn how to transform an ordinary image into something extraordinary by using layering apps and effects to achieve an expressive, painterly piece of artwork. To accomplish my vision for this image, I used Slow Shutter Cam to capture a swimmer underwater in a swimming pool, ShockMyPic to add texture and interest, and Iris Photo Suite to layer images, adjust the color, and rotate the image.
