I used to watch Night Gallery when I was a kid. It was an anthology TV show from Rod Serling, the creator of The Twilight Zone. I remember one episode in which the bad guy dies and goes to hell. He ends up in a waiting room with a bunch of bumpkins who want to share their vacation slides while listening to truly vapid music. Our protagonist tells the attendant that he can’t stand the boredom of the waiting room and can’t wait to get to the fire and brimstone and suffering. More time goes by and he again exclaims, “Hey, enough with this waiting room. When do I get to see hell?”
