About the Author

Dr. Joshua N. Weiss is the co-founder of the Global Negotiation Initiative at Harvard University and a senior fellow at the Harvard Negotiation Project. He is also the director and creator of the Master of Science degree in Leadership and Negotiation at Bay Path University in Massachusetts. Finally, he is the president of Negotiation Works, Inc. – a leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution consulting firm.

Dr. Weiss received his Ph.D. from the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University in 2002. In his current capacity he conducts research; consults with many different types of organizations; delivers leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution trainings and courses; and engages in negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution efforts at the organizational, corporate, government, and international levels.

Dr. Weiss's previous books include The Negotiator in You paperback book, audiobook, and ebook series, and a children's book series designed to teach children ages 6 to 10 about conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem solving. The series, The Adventures of Emo and Chickie, consists of three books and follows the adventures of these two friends as they try to help animals solve a difficult water conflict, assist a friend who is being bullied, and manage their way through a social media conflict.
