31 Governor

Articles 153 to 162 in Part VI of the Constitution deal with the state executive.
Governor of the State[Article 153]
The Governor is the Constitutional head of the state government. Article 153 states that, ‘There shall be a Governor for each state. Provided that nothing in this article shall prevent the appointment of the same person as Governor for two or more States.’
This provision is added by the 7th Constitutional Amendment Act of 1956.
The Governor is the Chief Executive Head of the state though nominal (real executive is the Chief Minister).
Executive Power of the State[Article 154]
As per Article 154(1) Executive power of the state shall be vested in the Governor. ...
