Andrew Romans approached me with his concept of capturing real-life insights into our venture capital ecosystem through interviews with present-day practitioners; I viewed my role as a project supporter but not necessarily as its cheerleader. (Andrew is already enough of an enthusiast himself!) But this “how to” compendium is itself an example of what a startup venture is all about: It is the product of focused enthusiasm plus found resources. I am, in fact, a cheerleader for that.
