When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

I was that kid. The one that always had a book in his hand. All my life books entertained me, informed me, transported me, consoled me. So much so that one of the most oft-repeated phrases I recall my Dad saying to me was, “What? You got your nose in another dang book?” (I cleaned that up for you; you’re welcome.) Don’t go all judgey on my father; he only had 2 months of high school before he dropped out to work fulltime for the rest of his life to provide for his family. And Dad became one of the biggest supporters in my pursuit of a career in film and teaching. I only wish he was still here so he could see my nose buried deep in this one. Thanks Dad!
