Throughout this workbook I use the metaphor of learning to play the guitar to describe how to learn to make good charts. Making a good book is different than that; it’s more like staging an arena rock show. In the end we see the band and hear its songs, but really we’re witnessing the skilled work of a legion of professionals. Without them, the band would fail; the experience would stink. Same goes for a picture book like this one, a beast that requires more than ordinary bookcraft.
