2220 AD, Asteroid “3361 Orpheus”

A deep, calm, divine and peaceful voice loudly and authoritatively echoes through space: “Payments are primarily social interactions, special forms of communication as well as exchanges of information; payments are only secondarily representing exchanges of value.”

Peggy and Victor are sitting in their privately owned space cave carved inside asteroid “3361 Orpheus”. Since the beginning of the 23rd century it is trendy to have your own asteroid. Peggy and Victor purchased “3361 Orpheus” recently. The previous owner was a robot who recently moved to a larger asteroid-cave. Peggy and Victor now have to pay this robot using intergalactic gravitational wave payments. Robots started to have their own assets and liabilities and pay their own taxes since “deep learning” merged into “deep earning” during the second half of the 22nd century.

2119 AD, Proxima Centauri

Peggy and Victor are newcomers to Proxima Centauri. They are learning NPP (neural proximity payments). NPP is a technology transmitting funds by thought. Neurons emit weak magnetic signals that are perfectly readable by another person's brain.

2049 AD, Helsingborg, Sweden
