A number of film developers are specifically formulated to work well at a variety of dilutions. The following is a list of some popular developers and the dilutions at which they are commonly used:
| Kodak HC110 | 1:3 to 1:30 |
| Ilford Ilfotec HC | 1:31 to 1:47 |
| Kodak D76 | 1:1 or undiluted |
