In distributed mobile environments, node mobility usually results in lower network throughput.
Therefore, it is essential while designing a cross-layer IDS to take the mobility factor into consider-
ation. Thus, in varying network dynamics situation, a trade-off between throughput and detection is
essential for demand-driven and adaptive cross layer–based IDS.
