Erin West, Foreword
Erin West is an internationally recognized speaker and educator in transnational organized crime as well as the criminal investigation and prosecution of cases involving cryptocurrency. She has served as a deputy district attorney in Santa Clara County, California for 26 years and for the past 8 years has been assigned to the Regional Enforcement Allied Computer Team (REACT) high-technology task force, known for its arrests and prosecutions of “SIM-swappers” and for the recovery of cryptocurrency. Erin founded and leads the Crypto Coalition, a group of more than 1,700 local, state, federal and international law enforcement agents who specialize in cryptocurrency investigation. In response to the worldwide scam crisis, Erin founded Operation Shamrock, the first global cross-industry information-sharing organization focused on uniting the world against transnational organized crime originating in Southeast Asia.

Carole House is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council. She has previously served as an executive in residence at Terranet Ventures, as the chair of the Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and at the White House National Security Council (NSC) as the Director for Cybersecurity and Secure Digital Innovation.
