Preface

This book grew out of the need for professionals and students to better

understand how to apply and integrate the total productive maintenance

(TPM) philosophy and its associated tools and techniques. Real-world exam-

ples and hands-on experience are invaluable resources when instructing the

use of methods and tools in training or in a classroom. The primary objective

of this book is to provide in-depth descriptions of how to apply TPM, with

various case studies given from real-world TPM projects performed for a
