Protecting an organization’s computers is a key job role of every IT administrator. Two essential technologies that can help ensure your computers are secure are firewalls and Internet Protocol Security (IPsec). Microsoft Windows Server 2012 includes a host-based firewall called Windows Firewall with Advanced Security that helps you protect the servers on your network. Windows Firewall with Advanced Security is also included in the Windows 8 client operating system.
