Transfer of training is the effective and continued application to trainees' jobs of the knowledge and skills gained in training. In theory, transfer of training is a relatively simple concept, but in practice it is difficult to obtain. The reasons are numerous, and the solutions are only now becoming apparent. To help put parameters around the transfer problem, you should understand the most common types of transfer.
