Michelle Klinger is a director of public cloud security living in Houston, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and security. She has held several roles throughout her career—system/network administrator, security assessor, QSA, and security architect. If there is one myth that you could debunk in cybersecurity, what would it be?
The use of the term hacker to encompass malicious activity or a bad actor.
What is one of the biggest bang-for-the-buck actions that an organization can take to improve its cybersecurity posture?
I don’t think there is one “bang-for-your-buck” action. I think that’s synonymous with a magic dietary pill. Instead, what’s needed is a deliberate set of actions to create an actual information security program at an organization.
