I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introduction
In 2009, my granddaughter, Simone was born. At the age of one she was playing with her kitchen appliance toys and wondering how they work. One day in the not-too-distant future, Simone will open this book, just like her mother did, to repair her own real appliances. The future will have more advanced and efficient appliances and air conditioners. Some examples of newer products on the market today are condenser dryers, refrigerated ovens, and hybrid electric heat pump water heaters. In the not-too-distant future, we will see more smart appliances and air conditioners that can be managed and monitored from long distances.
