Netherlands Dance Theater
In this series of posters for the Netherlands Dance Theater,
the designers explore a starkly simple, yet dramatic,
typographic system. The posters feature ethereal colorized
images of the dancers, with the information related to
each particular performance dominating the foreground.
Through color variation in the typography and in the
photographs, the posters maintain a clear branding unity
for the client, but show the flexibility that is intrinsic
to system-oriented typography. The type in each poster
reflects the same hierarchical structure: the title is
assigned a specific size and typeface; the performers in
