I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Wie bei jedem Fotojournalisten meiner Ära lassen sich meine Arbeiten in analoge und digitale Aufnahmen aufteilen. 2006 vollzog ich den Wechsel ins digitale Lager, und dank der Magie der IPTC-Daten habe ich zu meinen neueren Arbeiten genauere technische Angaben. Die Belichtungsdaten meiner analogen Aufnahmen auf Film habe ich nicht notiert, und so kann ich höchstens aus der Erfahrung heraus sagen, wie die Einstellungen gewesen sein müssen.
Technisch gesehen, gehe ich recht einfach und simpel vor. Meistens habe ich ein DSLR-Gehäuse von Canon und drei Objektive dabei. Zurzeit sind das folgende Canon-Objektive: das 16–35 mm, das 24–105 mm und das 70–200 mm, die allesamt in einen kleinen Rucksack passen. Ich benutze ein Gitzo ...
