So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
11. Tuning WordPress for Search Engines
In this chapter, tune your WordPress-based website for search engines with the right settings, plugins, and content.
If I were the cheeky sort (well, you know by now that I am that sort), I would just say:
“WordPress is already tuned for search engines. End of chapter.”
However, that isn’t what you bought the book for, and in all truth, that’s not 100% true. With a default install and using the settings I’ve outlined earlier, WordPress is about 90% there, as far as search engines go. With a couple of SEO plugins (or SEO-aware themes), you can get to about 95%; to get to 100% (or at least 99%), you need to also adapt how you write your content.
