So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Es gibt sehr viele verschiedene Möglichkeiten, mit Git im Team zu arbeiten. Die konkrete Arbeitsweise ist immer abhängig von der Projektart, der Programmiersprache und der Programmiertools und der Anzahl der Mitarbeiter. Wenn Git genutzt wird, sollten Sie einen guten und passenden Workflow für sich selbst bzw. für das Team auswählen, der gegebenenfalls in der Zukunft immer mal wieder angepasst werden kann. Ziel ist es nämlich nicht nur, Git als reines Versionsverwaltungsprogramm zu nutzen, sondern auch die Arbeitsweise an Git anzupassen, um die Funktionen sinnvoll und arbeitserleichternd zu nutzen.
Für Umsteiger von anderen Versionsverwaltungsprogrammen wie etwa Subversion wirkt das Ganze zu Beginn vielleicht etwas ...
