This covers the basics of working with relational databases. You’ve now learned how to do the basic database operations and seen a simple reporting application in action. As we’ve covered in this chapter, database records are easily mapped to Clojure data structures. Therefore, the Clojure community sees object-relational mapping libraries as unnecessary.
In the next chapter we’ll put together all the skills you’ve learned so far to write a picture-gallery application.
