An audit policy is more than the configuration of a Group Policy Audit Policy and associated logs. Because Group Policy automates the implementation of security event collection, designing and implementing such a policy is a good first step in building a more comprehensive audit policy for your enterprise. Audit Policy is a part of the Security Settings section of Group Policy and, therefore, can be quickly configured and implemented across an entire domain.
