この章では、DL4Jに含まれているツール群を紹介し、読者自身のプロジェクトに適用できるような実践的なコード例を作成します。まず、個々の深層ネットワークを適切な問題へと当てはめるための方法について検討します。そして、DL4Jに付属する主要なコード例の多くについて詳しく解説します。

5.1 深層ネットワークを適切な問題に適用する
「4章 深層ネットワークの主要なアーキテクチャー」ではディープラーニングについて、入力データの特徴量を手作業で作ることではなく、問題にマッチしたネットワークのアーキテクチャーを設計することが大切だと述べました。ここからは、特定の課題に深層ネットワークを当てはめた例を紹介します。本書では、次のような応用について検討します。
- 表形式のデータのモデル化
- 画像データのモデル化
- シーケンスや時系列を持つデータのモデル化
- 自然言語処理への応用
