I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
New Ethics Expectations and Rules for Employees
The most dominant trend in the evolution of office ethics is the rise of personal accountability. Employees today are acutely aware that they must avoid being associated with wrongdoings because they are likely to be held personally accountable for their actions or inactions.
My latest OfficePro magazine survey results of over 900 respondents make it crystal clear how fully admins understand their place in the accountability food chain today. The days of being able to use the defense “My boss told me to do it” are long gone. Employees nowadays may find themselves at any time on a witness stand with no one to take responsibility for their actions but themselves.
