Today we review the basic operation of OSPF. OSPFv2 is used for IPv4 routing, and OSPFv3 is used for IPv6 routing. Although the two versions share the same basic operation principles, we also review how they differ. Tomorrow, we will review single-area OSPFv2 configuration.
