It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Arduino with ESP8266 (ESP-01 Module) and Android Wireless Sensor and Remote Control Projects II
In this chapter I cover more hands-on examples of the Arduino- and Android-based wireless and remote control system that I presented earlier. An Android cell phone will be used as a wireless remote controller that will communicate over Wi-Fi with an Arduino equipped with an ESP8266-based ESP-01 module which provides the Wi-Fi connectivity. The Arduino will be connected to various sensors that can be controlled or monitored by the Android device. The sensors that will be covered in this chapter will be the reed switch, the flame sensor, the tilt switch, the TMP36 temperature sensor, the photo resistor which detects light, the DHT11 temperature ...
