Malware is a category of software known as malicious software or viruses. Most malware can only attack specific operating systems. Since Windows PCs are still the most common computers in the world, most malware targets Microsoft Windows.

There are two ways to guard against malware. The most common way is to rely on technological solutions such as anti-virus software. Unfortunately, technological solutions can never provide 100 percent protection. That’s because the weakest link in any computer’s security is always the user.
