So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Wireless IEEE 802.11 LANs
IEEE has established the standard for WLANs. This particular standard is numbered 802.11 and was established in 1997. Subsequent amendments have been added to the standard to address connections at a higher radio frequency.
Establishing a standard ensures that all WLANs can operate with one another and that the controls for the networks are similar.
